6Closing day has finally arrived! The few days leading up to the closing can be a bit hectic.  The lender’s lawyer is often waiting until the day before the closing to receive the “closing package” from the lender.  The closing package includes the HUD-1 form which you and your lawyer should review closely.  It sets forth all of the debits and credits associated with the purchase/sale transaction and reflects the actual amount of money you will need to bring with you to the closing.  The closing will typically occur either at the Registry of Deeds in the County where your property is located, or at the office of one of the attorneys involved.  As soon as the deed and mortgage related documents are signed and recorded at the Registry, you are the proud owner of a new property.  Congratulations!!
